Wake County Schools has recently changed its assignment protocol. When a student is added to the Wake County system, the address will have a number of schools for you to choose from: 5 Elementary Schools, 2 Middle, and 2 High Schools plus a choice of Magnet Schools. You ability to get into the school of your choice is based on set weighted criteria that the school system uses which is based on proximity to the school, seat availability and other variables.
